Hello! My name is Brandie and I live in Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States. I am on a mission to help my dear friend, Massara, and her family, who are facing a devastating crisis.
On October 7th, 2023, their lives in Gaza were torn apart by violent attacks by the Israili Army. Forced to flee their home, they watched as their beloved home was reduced to rubble.
Massara and her husband, Ghassan, are the parents of three beautiful young children: Rehab (7 years old), Reem (5 years old), and baby Yamen, born in May 2024.
Massara and her family are facing many unimaginable hardships in Gaza. They want to leave Gaza so that their family will survive the violence, but they are trapped by closed borders. After living months in a tent, they now live in a damaged home of a relative, without electricity, running water, or privacy.
Gaza lacks the everyday resources that people need. Massara’s family struggles to find clean water, food, diapers, toilet paper, andpersonal hygiene products. When they do find these items, the prices are EXTREMELY high making many items too expensive to purchase.
There is no employment in Gaza, so they have no income. The only way they can buy food & essentials is through the kindness of others who donate to help them.
Here are some of the items that they desperately need (with the current approximate prices in Gaza):
The goal of this campaign is to raise at least $15,000 US dollars to help Massara and her family with the needs listed above, plus food, water, and any other necessities. With your generosity, you can help Massara and Ghassan and their little ones survive another day, and another, and another. Any funds that don’t get used for their day-to-day survival will be added to their evacuation fund so that they may leave Gaza when the borders reopen.
